Awhile ago I went through the world’s weirdest hotels and most of these hotels were highly affordable, just a bit weird is all. However, the hotels listed here are not weird; in fact many are nicer than the homes that we all live in. No, these hotels are expensive, very expensive. To stay here you need to have a lot of money in your pocket. One night in these hotels will cost you more than most people pay for their mortgage all year long. This is certainly not for anyone who makes less than a few million a year. If you can afford these places though, be prepared to stay in the lap of luxury!
1. The Penthouse Suite at the Hotel Martinez, Cannes France

At only $35,000 a night, you will get more from this apartment than you own home has. In fact, you may love staying in this apartment so much that you do not want to say anywhere else! What does this hotel have for you? Well, it’s located on the seafront boulevard, one of the most famous in the world, and the hotel features a world-class restaurant, private beach and a piano bar. If you decide to stay up in the Penthouse Suite of this hotel, you will enjoy your own sitting room, dining room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, shower, spa bath, dressing room and a sauna.
Oh, did we mention that there is also a large terrace that overlooks the sea? You also get your own butler while you stay here. Most likely that butler makes more than we do considering the price of the penthouse he helps to take care of. Some other things this place includes are plasma televisions, marble baths, and all the rooms are completely sound proof so you don’t have to worry about anyone disturbing you.
2. Penthouse Suite at Four Seasons Hotel in New York

Situated on top of the Four Seasons Hotel, this nice, large penthouse suite occupies the entire top floor and gives you a complete 360 degree view of the skyline of New York City. With 4,000 square feet at your disposal, you can enjoy this nine-room suite which is named after Ty Warner, the person who created the billion-dollar Beanie Babies industry.
You aren’t just paying for the size of the penthouse suite here when you put down $33,000 per night. The fabrics woven in this penthouse suite are woven with platinum and gold threads. There is a Zen garden within the penthouse and a four-foot high glass chandelier. You get your own butler, therapist, trainer and chauffeur when you stay here as well. This is truly the nicest place to stay in what may be the most famous city on the planet.
3. Royal Penthouse Suite at Hotel President Wilson in Geneva

For a mere $33,000 you can stay at one of the nicest hotels in all of Europe. The Hotel President Wilson, Royal Penthouse Suite in Geneva Switzerland is one of the most beautiful hotel rooms in the world and, well, also one of the most expensive. What do you get in this hotel room? Well, you get many period pieces from the 1920s and 1930s in your hotel room. You have a grand piano and billiards table from the 1930s for one thing, as well as an amazing view of Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva.
In addition, you get your very own elevator so you can come and go privately without dealing with anyone. In addition, and this is important if you worry that someone is going to try and kill you, you get surveillance cameras, bulletproof windows, armored doors and even panic buttons next to your bed. With all of these paranoid items, you have to wonder exactly who is staying in this hotel room. Now it should be pointed out that if you just have a lot of money you cannot stay here.
To qualify to stay in this room, named for the former president of the United States who once stayed in the room, you need to either be a head of state or a celebrity. This is probably why the room is so expensive because only heads of state and celebrities are going to be able to afford it. It should also come as no surprise that one of the meeting places for the United Nations is located only five minutes away.
4. The Royal Villa at the Grand Resort Lagonissi in Athens

Athens is one of the most famous and historic city on the entire planet. It was here, 2,500 years ago, democracy was born. Athens has many historical attractions and an amazing culture, but it also has something else; a very expensive hotel room.
Costing $32,500 per night, The Royal Villa at the Grand Resort Lagonissi comes with plenty of things you never knew you needed in a hotel room. For one, this room comes with your very own butler, private chef and pianist. Yes, you get your own pianist who can come in and play the piano for you while you watch television.
In addition, you get your own indoor pool, and outdoor heated pool and your own gym to use at your discretion.
This hotel room is considered to be one of the most exclusive on the planet and at times the price of the hotel room can balloon up to $50,000 per night, or more than most people make in an entire year.
5. Presidential Suite at the Hotel Cala di Volpe in Costa Smeralda, Italy

At $26,000 per night, this place is pretty damn pricy. Costa Smeralda has been the place to go if you are rich and famous for its beautiful weather and landscapes.
When you do go to this area of Italy, why not stay in the Presidential Suite, which features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a saltwater outdoor pool, your own gazebo and a solarium. During the summer season, you can expect to pay as much as $45,000 for this amazingly beautiful hotel room that even has its own gym, steam room and wine cellar.
To make this place even cooler, the coast that the hotel suite overlooks was even used as the backdrop for the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me.
A split-level room also features a complete DVD library, your own personal surround system and more.
Needless to say, this is a very beautiful place to stay if you have the money. Of course, staying here may make you not want to leave, and if you have the money, why would you ever want to leave?
