Farmer

Everybody eats. Humans are consumers and need food in order to have energy to do anything from running a marathon to even sleeping. Therefore, people who grow our food have one of the most important jobs in our society. They keep people fed so that they can live to do anything and everything. However, farmers are generally looked down upon by the rest of society as unrefined, isolated, hermetic, and out of touch with modern life. It is their dedication to living and working on large plots of land in the middle of nowhere though that allows our grocery stores to be stocked full and the majority of the population to have food.

Paralegal

Everyone knows about the power and status of lawyers in our society. While lawyers have their own stereotypes (like being sleazy, cunning tricksters), many people want to be one to achieve the prestige and money that automatically comes with the title. However, lawyers are very specific in their actual duties. They show up for court, make speeches, and use charisma to woo clients. What about all the red tape? Hiding behind the scenes are paralegals who are the life blood of the legal system. They are the ones who do the research, fill out limitless paperwork, and make sure that the lawyers have evidence to stand upon. They have to go through extensive training programs and then work random hours to get mountains of work complete in time for a trial no matter the normal business hours of a firm.

Restaurant Table Busser

When going to a restaurant, you see a lot of people who are working hard to get people good, quality food while creating a fun, special atmosphere such as the host or hostess who seats you and the waiter or waitress who serves you. However, many restaurant patrons tend to ignore the phantom like workers who make sure tables are cleared and cleaned quickly to turn over the tables for as many customers in as short amount of time. They receive almost no pay (no tips even), work extended hours, and rarely get any recognition for the vital job that they do in the restaurant world.
